Carbon Neutral Laboratory

University of Nottingham

Working in collaboration with Best Foot Forward (now Anthesis), KLH Sustainability is providing carbon foot-printing expertise to ensure this challenging BREEAM Outstanding Chemistry Laboratory achieves full carbon neutrality within a 25-year period. We have worked closely with the design team, analysing the carbon impact of each design iteration. We subsequently supported the University through the competitive tender process to select a principal contractor and continue to provide an assurance role on site.

Unfortunately the building was subject to a massive fire in September 2014 prior to completion. The University is committed to rebuilding the laboratory once the investigation is complete and KLH Sustainability will continue to support them in their endeavour.
